What is it like to sail in The Tall Ships Races as a trainee?

Met a few of our former trainees. In 2014, 100 local trainees sailed from Bergen to Esbjerg. It became an unforgettable experience for many of them.

How would you describe the atmosphere on board? 
"Like one big happy family :-)"

"It was calm, nice and basically 'hyggeligt'"

"Crewparade, I was the flag carrier"

What have you learned about yourself during this voyage?
"I’m a lot tougher than I thought"

"I have learned how to control a Tall Ship trough team work, how to steer and navigate one, and basically a lot of German/ English expressions and sea shanties"

"That I can do a lot more than I think. When I think that I am tired, then I still have energy to work a bit more"
